Principal's Pen

The word "journey" is a common one in our community, often used to describe our walk toward the kingdom. It's a fitting term that reminds us that we are like the many faithful who have gone before us, traveling from a place of false gods toward a promised land.

The 2025-2026 school year is a single milepost on your child's academic and spiritual journey, and we are eager to walk it with them. This year will bring moments of success and joy, as well as difficulty and failure. It will highlight moments of second attempts and the power of trying again. It will reveal moments of character development and refinement. One day, when the judge of the earth returns, this journey will end. All of these school years will be pieced together into a seamless road, and the students will have finally reached their destination. It is our hope that, by God's grace, your children will have successfully departed from Egypt and arrived in the Promised Land. May we all be caught away to be with Christ!

This is our journey, and it was the journey of the ecclesia in the wilderness. These wilderness wanderings and Israel's journey will be the theme of our devotions this year. We will apply the lessons we learn both in our classrooms and at home. Let us all prioritize God as our guide -- the pillar of fire and the pillar of cloud -- in everything we do, and may Christ come soon to interrupt our journey!
