Cross Country Meet
Message from the Morning Devotions
This month we continued to learn about the Beatitudes. Uncle Wayne spoke on Mt. 5:6, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” He drove home the point that it is not enough simply to want righteousness; there needs to be a thirst a hunger for that, filling our minds and guiding our actions.
He used several examples of airplanes throughout the week, and compared a real-life scenario when a plane crashed because the pilots were so caught up trying to solve a mechanical problem that no one was flying the plane! This is such an important lesson to remember in our own lives. We can get so consumed and distracted with earthly problems that we can lose focus on what truly matters. We must keep the word of God at the forefront of our minds, and keep sight of the age that waits before us. With our priorities right, and Christ at the helm, we may hope for a place in that eternal day.
