CHC Lift-Off

Jesus said, "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for such is the Kingdom of God." (Mark 10:14)

We are taught that the unfailing trust, the tender joy, the constant humility, and utter reliance of children to their parents are the same traits we need to possess. These are the traits that are so very important to have as a child of God on our journey to the Kingdom.

As we start this school year, our minds are filled with both joy and mourning.

We mourn for our brethren in Cameroon whose lives are in jeopardy in a war torn land, for our brethren in the Caribbean because of the overwhelming power of a relentless hurricane that renders so many homeless and in danger, for our beloved sister Linda and her family with the fear of a terrible bodily affliction; and for our dear Brother Jacob whose life, health, and future are in question.

In each case, what gives us comfort is knowing that God is a God & Father of comforts and He is in total control. We must be like little children putting our unfailing trust, our tender joy, and our utter reliance on our Father to not only receive comfort from him, but to ultimately be heirs of the Kingdom.

We joy in so many blessings, but now in the blessing of CHC and the lessons that the little children can teach us. So while we mourn, let us take comfort & joy in the children we have, in the beautiful, the innocent, the trusting character of these children. We pray that we may learn from them, for Jesus said: "Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."

It is the start of a new school year! Let us rejoice! Let us praise God! Let us take comfort in his unfailing love! Let us joy in precious lives of our children.

~ Bro. Josh Hodge

Students have their own accounts and will have access to all of their work at home through a Google account.

Also, new this year, is our skills and creative classroom located in the new portable. Bro. Frank will be leading sessions weekly on all sorts of hands on projects. Sis. Beth will lead her art class in a different portion of the same portable.
