Message from the Morning Devotions
by Cassia Drywood
For the month of February, we've had Uncles Peter Robinson, Tom Colby, Don Luff, and Ian Macfarlane giving us our morning devotions. We are thankful to all of them for all their work and effort. We have learned about many different topics that were very interesting and helpful. One of the topics that we learned was the difference between self-control and conceit. We had learned that having self-control helps to keep ourselves humble, but conceit causes us to be proud and selfish. It says in Proverbs 28:11 that "the rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out." It is important for us to not obtain the riches of the world that can make us proud and greedy, but instead we must search out the truth and apply it to our lives. This way we can walk humbly before our Heavenly Father. Another topic that was brought to our attention was why we should forgive others. We are told in Matthew 6:14, "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you." We all make mistakes, and we often regret them and need forgiveness for them. It is important for us to forgive others, so God will forgive us too.
News
On Thursday March 22nd, we will celebrate the 100th day of school. Each student is asked to bring 100 of the same thing to share with students. Be creative! Items that have been brought in the past include: cookies, stickers, jelly beans, etc.
It will be a Gym uniform day (no costumes and no fun lunch that day).
We welcome you and friends and family to the Open House on April 12th. You will be able to enjoy an evening of presentations, choir, refreshments, and a walk through the school to see the students' work.

Fundraising
Garden Sale - May 12th
Anyone who can help out in any capacity please talk to Sis. Jessica Fish. Specifically, there is a need for anyone who can sew and/or knit and can volunteer their time for Handmade Market items.
There is also a need for someone to facilitate and operate the outdoor portion (perennial sales, etc) for the garden sale.
Finally, if there are any bakers who are willing to contribute please contact Sis. Jen Hewer.
