School Field Trip to Brantwood Farms!
Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017.

We will leave CHC at 12:00pm, after eating lunch in our classrooms; rides to the farm will be arranged ahead of time. Dismissal will be from Brantwood Farms at 3:00pm, if your child is not coming to the farm, pick them up at CHC before 12:00pm, if parents are not coming on the trip, pick up your child at 3:00pm at the farm – thank you!
Students are to wear gym uniforms for the whole day, wear appropriate outer wear for the weather, it can be cool and muddy! Each student to bring their own bag for apples, corn, etc. (e.g. grocery bag)
The Running Club
The Running Club has begun (optional); students are encouraged to run during morning & lunch recess. Students will receive ribbons and small prizes when levels are completed.
Cross-Country practicing is taking place each Monday and Thursday in October for grade 3-8 students, gym uniforms to be worn by all primary school students Mondays & Thursdays. Late pick-up on Thursdays (3:30 p.m.). The Cross-Country Meet will take place Friday, October 20th at Lee Academy and for any student in grades 3-8. Students need to inform Aunt Jennifer Hewer if they are unable to compete. More details to follow.
Everyone is welcome to come to the meet and cheer on our runners!
Swimming Begins Wednesday, October 4th
Lessons run for eight weeks ending November 23rd at the Westmount Pool 2:00–3:00pm.
Transportation is the parents’ responsibility, please make your own arrangements to have your child taken from CHC at 1:35pm, transported to the pool and picked up in the change room at 3:00pm. Students are to wear regular school uniforms on swim days and change into bathing suits at the pool. Remember towels and goggles (if used).

Elementary grades & CHHS: No school Monday, October 9th.
Music classes have started for the year with Aunt Nicole Wisniewski (Music – Gr.1-12)
Banquet Night – January 27th - Start saving your coins as a family so you can come and enjoy the night and support the school!
Crazy Hat Day & Fun Lunch - Thursday, October 26th
Come to school dressed in the craziest hat you can find!
Lunch of cheese quesadillas, veggies and dessert will be served, bring your own drink
Staff Meeting – Tuesday, October 10th 12:15-1:00pm
Thursday, October 26th – First progress report card will be sent home.
