Portable Appeal Update
The portables arrived!
The exclamation point in the preceding statement highlights that great obstacles had finally been overcome! For all involved, this chapter of CHC’s expansion shows the clear hand of God in guiding this process. Much like God helped Nehemiah build the walls of Jerusalem, in the midst of the opposition of Sanballat and Tobiah, this project has moved forward despite some obvious opposition. Heritage College is located in a zone where any development other than airport infrastructure has been frowned upon by the city. There have been hoops to jump through, the need for patience and the unmistakable blessing of our Heavenly Father.
So, it was with great delight that two portables were delivered to the school on June 28th and placed in position. With the help of generous donations received, CHC has been able to purchase two used portables and pay for their transportation to Ancaster. each 24’ x 32’ and will provide plenty of space for our high school students and for the implementation of other curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Let us rise up and build
With God’s blessing, work will continue over the summer to prepare the Portables for use in September. In the meantime, we are in need of further support to complete the project. To date we have received just over 50% of the funds required to complete the project. It is still anticipated that the cost of the project will be $50,000 and to date we have received approximately 27,000.
